We serve an eternal, holy, compassionate, loving, merciful, gracious and loving God. Our desire is to love God, make God's love known, and serve others.
Our desire is to express our love of God through service to God and our neighbors by putting the needs of others before our own, demonstrating compassion, and acting with simple and great acts of kindness. Serving others with love is our joy and a way of reflecting God's love and character in the world.
Pastor LaRon M. Thompson is a proud native of Kansas City, KS, and a 2009 graduate of F.L. Schlagle High School. His journey took him to Morehouse College, where his relationship with God deepened, shaping him into a devoted leader. From a young age, LaRon was passionate about serving God and His people, actively participating in the choir and youth usher board, which taught him the sacrifices inherent in ministry.
He began his ministry as Youth Department volunteer and would eventually become the Worship Pastor at House of Prayer Evangelistic Church under the guidance of his parents, Pastor Benard and Evangelist Trina Crawford. In 2018, he felt a divine calling to become the Interim Pastor of the historic Paseo Baptist Church. After two years of faithful service, he was appointed as the Senior Pastor.
Pastor Thompson is deeply committed to community service, having served on various community boards, and currently chairs the Kansas City Boys and Girls Choir. He builds meaningful relationships with everyone he meets, embracing the opportunity to impact lives positively. He is also committed to advancing his education at Faith Bible College in Independence, Missouri, believing that a solid foundation, progressive education, and personal revelation pave the way to success.
In 2020, Pastor T married his soulmate, affectionately known as Lady K. This connection, rooted in their shared experiences at Spelman and Morehouse, is one that he believes is ordained by God. Together, they joyfully raise their two sons, Jaedon and Kaleb, and dedicate themselves to serving God and their community. Through the power of the Almighty and the vision given by the sovereign Lord, Pastor T and his family are resolved to connect Christ to the Church and the community at large.
